The Aileen Brandt School
Mr. Say Chin, the 53-year old school village chief.
Mr. Say Chin is the 53-year old village chief of Yiem Khav, home to the Aileen Brandt School. He has four daughters and lives near the school.
“We asked the Ministry of Education to build a school here because our children are not able to attend the nearest school, which is located about 4 kilometers away from the village.”
“I am happy to receive this school for the village children to study in, but currently we are also facing a water shortage. During the dry-season, the villagers have to travel anywhere from 3 to 4 kilometers to collect water. We really need a water well for the villagers.”
