The Dyer Family Friendship School
Mr. Chhuon Nara is 25 years old and principal of The Dyer Family Friendship School. He is married with two children, his house is about 8 kilometers from school. So, he usually stays in the school with the other teachers and goes home only once or twice a week.
Speaking about his educational background, Mr. Chhuon Nara said: “From 1999 to 2000, I studied in high school and then I attended the Regional Teachers (Pedagogy) school in Preah Vihear for two years from 2000 to 2002. Then I was assigned to teach in Bengkorng Primary School , after three years I was transferred to teach in The Dyer Family Friendship School, this was in 2006”.
“I was promoted to principal at this school two years ago, when I was transferred to here. As a school principal and teacher in grade 1 and 3, I am very busy with many tasks. Sometimes I also spent some of my own money to buy school materials like chalk,” he added.
