Em Rany is elleven years old.  She is also in the second grade. Rany has five siblings; two of them are also study at the new school. Her father also works at the rubber plantation while her mother is a housewife. She walks to school every day.

“When I grow up I want to be a tailor,” she said.

When asked why she wanted to become a tailor, Rany told us that the village did not have a tailor, and if she became the only tailor in the village, she could make good money.
