Raingkan Phar Yor is a 14-year-old first grade student at the “In Memory of Mustafa Saeed Rahman” School. Her parents are farmers at the school village. She is the third child of a three children family. Her house is near to the school. She walks five minutes to get to the school.
“I like to study English rather than other subjects. After school, I review my English lesson at home.Before, I have never saw a computer, but right now I have seen it. It is at the classroom.”
“At home, I help my mother cook food and carry water from the stream for consumption. The stream is two kilometers away from the village and I carry water two times a day.”
“I have been to Banlung (the capital of Ratanakiri) three times since I was born, but I have never been in Phnom Penh. I don’t want to visit Phnom Penh because I am shy with Phnom Penh citizens.”
