Yam Nhoy is a 37-year-old farmer with three sons who study at the new school.
Yam Nhoy is 37-year-old farmer in the school village. He has four children, one daughter and three sons. All of his three sons come to study at the new school.
“None of the villagers are nurses or doctors. When we get ill, we go to the provincial town of Banlung to buy medicine at the private pharmacy to cure the disease.”
“For me, I believe half in medical treatment and half in praising the forest God. When I am ill, at first I go to the clinic to get cured and if it does not work I would turn to the forest God.”
