Thon Sreymao is a 17-year-old grade 8 student at The Kamata Family School. She ranks number 4 out of her 25 classmates. She has four siblings in her family. Her parents are farmers.

“I live about 1 km from the school and I come to school on my bicycle. I come to school everyday,” she said.

“My favorite subjects are Physics and Chemistry, because I can easily understand these subjects. Physic and Chemistry teach you about natural processes and substances in the environment such as ozone and carbon, I like to know about this,” she said.

“I want to be a doctor when I grow up because I like to assist the patients as well as the ill villagers in my area,” Thon Sreymao said.

“When I have enough money I would like to travel to Japan, because I would like to do shopping in Japanese markets and buy some products. I have often heard that the Japanese products are very good and last long. Moreover, I would like to visit some beautiful places in Japan,” she said.
