Oeun Kheun is a 16-year-old sixth grade student. He is member three among his 47 classmates. He has eight brothers and sisters. His house is five minutes walk from the school.

“I like studying Khmer literature because Khmer grammar is easier to learn than other subjects. I make only small mistakes in dictation. I read a lot of Khmer legends.”

“Mathematics is the most difficult subject for me. This subject is the worst ones compared with the other three subjects in the school’s program. I think that I should spend more time on this subject to progress to the same level as the other subjects.”

“When I grow up I want to be an artist. I don’t think that an artist can earn more money than other skills, but I am good at drawing and have a talent for it.”
