Sem Chun is the 40-year-old school director. He is married and has four children. His house is five kilometers away from the school. He rides a motorbike to school every day.

“I graduated from the Teachers’ school in Pursat province in 1985. After graduating, I was sent to work at this school until now. In 1998, I was promoted to be the school director.”

“I noted that most of my students are good in both Khmer literature and mathematics and bad in the other two subjects because there is no library and a lack of teaching materials. On the other hand, the children parents have little knowledge, and can not teach their children at home.”

“The children study only at school, they do not take time to learn by themselves at home. I have a plan to ask their parents to encourage their children to study when they were at home.”
