Bophan Bunhak is a third grade student at the Miki Group Cattleya School. He is eleven years old. He was ranked seventh during the first semester of this year among his 20 classmates. He has three sisters and four brothers.

On his studies:

“I am good at mathematics because I find it easier to study than the other subjects. The most difficulty subject is social studies because there are so many words that are hard to read. In the class, my teacher writes in Khmer, but he explains in the Tom Puon language, my mother tongue.”

On the future:

“When I grow up I want to be a policeman. I think that this job is easier to do than a farmer and I can earn more money. As a policeman, I had the power to arrest thieves, drunkards or any other person who provoke or is violent towards his family.”
