Phy Bunthong is a 15-year-old grade 6 student at the Monique Brousseau School . Bunthong has 12 siblings; four are boys. His parents are farmers in the school village.
“In the school’s curriculum, I like math because I want to do calculations. I like to learn computer skill too and I come to school every day without being absent,” he said.
“I want to be a teacher because I like to teach youngsters and my brothers and sisters in my village,” he said.
“If I have a chance and enough money, I would like to go to Sihanouk-ville, where there are beaches and the sea, and I can swim,” he said.
