School
Mr. Lim Peou is the school principal of the Sapporo Acasia Lions Club School
The community built the old two-room wooden school building in 1992. This building is now too old to be used for classes. It leaks when it rains, and shakes when it’s windy. Only a few students came to study at this school building.
For the last four months the situation has been quite different. There are now 73 students attending the new school. They are very glad to study under this new roof without fear of it collapsing, or being bothered by water leaking into the classroom and shaking from the wind. I had neither seen a computer nor studied computers before, but now I see how useful this machine is. I am excited to see my students learning about it, touching it, and playing with it. They are so eager to learn about it. They also have a chance to learn English. I don’t know any English, and I wish I could learn with them. More people are enrolling their children in school, and the number of students keeps increasing. I am told that parents from different villages also want to enroll their children here. This is the first school in this area equipped with a computer and English program.
I can’t tell how much happier I am, and I would like to thank the donors from the bottom of my heart for their priceless contribution to this school and this village. They are like god in our heart.
