Berry School
Ouk Tou Ek is a 15-year-old fifth grade student at the Sophy Joy Berry and Mark Sopha Berry School . He was ranked second among his 38 classmates in the final exam of 2005. He has seven siblings. His house is about one kilometer from the school; he walks 15 minutes to school every day. His parents are farmers in the school village and they raise animal for their family’s income.
“My favorite subject is social studies and I like to learn geography, history and civics,” he said.
“I want to be a medical doctor when I grow up because I would like to work at the health center in my home village to serve and cure sick people in my village,” he said.
