Vith Vorn is a 14-year old 5th grade student at
the Tokyo Katsushika-Higashi Rotary Club.
Vith Vorn is a 14-year old girl in the 5th grade. She is currently ranked 10th out of 45 students. She is the third child out of a family of four boys and two girls. Three of her siblings attend school with her. Her parents are both farmers. She walks 500 m to school everyday.
“I like studying Khmer literature because it is an easy subject for me to learn. I use that knowledge to carry on conversations with people.”
“As for my home life, I have no TV to watch nor radio to listen to, and I don’t like sports. However, I like reading books and playing Chinese jump-rope during my free time.”
“If I could visit anyplace in the world, I would like to visit Kompong Som so that I could play on its fine beaches.”
“In the future, I want to become a teacher because I would like to be able to teach the next generation.”
“I would like to thank the donors for building the new school. The old one was very leaky, making it hard for us to study in. Attending classes in the new building makes learning much more enjoyable.”
