Mr. Ohm Phally is the community chief where the Yokogawa Rokumaru-kai Friends School is located.
He is 35 years old.

I’m a farmer, and I’m also the community chief here in this village. My job is to make requests for what this village needs so that it may develop. I ask for cattle or rice that the district, provincial government or NGOs may provide to the village. I am married and I have six children. Three of them are studying here. My wife sells various products at the road.

| On the new building:

I was very excited when the new school was built. It made it much easier for children to go to school. It’s very comfortable for the students to study in this building. I hope we will be able to take care of this school for a very long time.
One building from the old school has been renovated, but can probably only be used for another five years. If they don’t repair it, it will collapse. We have the new school, but we still don’t want to lose the old school, so we will maintain it for future use. There are still many students that we cannot accommodate in the new school. |
