Tha Chan, a 15-year-old grade 8 student

Tha Chan, 15, is an eighth grade student whose parents are farmers. He has two sisters and brothers. 

In Their Own Words …

“I would like to attend medical school and become a doctor or nurse to help cure villagers who are ill."   

On his favorite subject:

“I like mathematics, physics and chemistry. I am getting good grades in these subjects but I am also happy to learn English and computer skills now because they will be important for my future medical studies.”
