Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Khorn Thida

Khorn Thida is an 11 years old girl in grade 4 at The Vasaskolan School in Angbaksey village, Cheang Torng commune, Tramkak district Takeo province.

Khorn Thida has three siblings with two brothers and one sister. She is the first child in the family. There are five members of the family. Her parents are farmers. Her mother works at Garment factory in the dry season and her father works as a sand carrier for extra income. They own the 2 of land which produces 7 baskets of rice per season. Her parents earn 100$ per month. She always helps her parents ‘work and plays with her neighbors in her free time. In the future, she wants to be a doctor.
