Thy Bo Mao, a sixth grade student (May, 2001)

Thy Bo Mao is 16 years old and is in the sixth grade at The David Nathan Meyerson School.

In Their Own Words. . .

On his family: “My younger sister’s name is Touch. She is ten years old and also studies here at the new school in the third grade. My brother Sithourn is only two years old. My father, Bo thy, is 34 years old, and my mother, Prak Vary, is 32 years old. They are farmers.

 

On the new building: “I am very happy with the new building because it is very nice and it is easy to sit in. I like to come to school because the building is very nice.”

 

On school subjects: “I like to learn all subjects because that will help me learn everything.”

 

On his hobbies: “When I meet my friends I like to read because it help me remember my school lessons.”

 

On his future: “When I grow up, I want to be a teacher because I want to teach the next generation of Cambodians.”
