The Harris Family School

(October, 2001)

Mrs. Nhen Van is a villager living near the Harris Family School.

In Their Own Words. . .

About herself: “I am a crop farmer.  I have two sons learning at this new school. One of my sons is in first grade and the other one is in third.  My house is in Prey Prasith village about 20 meters from the school.”

On the impact of the new building: “I think the new school building has improved the village because before the pupils here went to study at another school which is about four kilometers from here.  Now there is a new school building here, and the villagers are very happy because it’s near to their houses.”

On the future of her children:  “I think that my children will learn what they want to learn for the future.  I don’t know if they have any goals or aims.”
