Mrs. Leang Cheng in her shop. (October, 2001)Fund, 2001.” (October, 2001)

Mrs. Leang Cheng is a villager living near the Sandan II Nippon Foundation School.  She has a small shop in front of her house and one of her two daughters attends the school.  The other daughter is not school age yet.

In Their Own Words. . .

On the new building: “I am happy with the new building because it is near my house.  It is good for the village because more students can fit in the school than before, so more students are learning.”

On her hopes for her daughters: “I hope my daughters will get educations.  At least, I expect them to finish primary school.  I don’t know what they will do in the future.”
