The Kampong Sre Nippon

Foundation School

(November, 2001)

Mr. Pron An is the director of the Kampong Sre Nippon Foundation School.  He has been a school director for 12 years and a teacher since 1979.

In Their Own Words. . .

On the new building: “I like the new building very much because it is solid and durable and made out of concrete.  The old building was made of wood and corrugated tin and didn’t have any walls, which made class difficult when it rained.  This new building is the village’s treasure and we must be sure to take good care of it so that it will last for years and many students can benefit from it.”

On teaching: “I love teaching very much.  I became a teacher because I had passed through high school and I wanted the Khmer people in remote areas to get more education.”

On school subjects: “The students are very interested in learning mathematics.”
