The Daun Bar Nippon

Foundation School

Gnoung Chhon is an 11 years old third grade student.
Out of the 78 students in his class, he was ranked fifth.

On himself: I have three siblings. My parents are rice farmers. They also plant banana trees. My house is 300 meters from school. It takes me nine minutes to walk from my house to school.

On the new building:

I am very happy with the new building. I’m not worried about anything, as I did at the old school. Studying there was very difficult because I didn’t have benches. The desks were also very bad. Whenever it rained I would get anxious that the building might collapse.

Favorite subject:

Math. I like to divide, multiply, add, and subtract.

On his spare time:

In my spare time I do my homework. Then I collect firewood and set fire to cook rice.

In the future:

I want to be a teacher. Teachers can educate future generations.

If he could do anything:

I would be a nurse.

If he could travel anywhere:

I’d go to France and see how people live there.
