San Phannay is a fourth grade student at the Prey Chan Nippon Foundation School.
Out of the twenty-three students in his class, he was ranked first.
| On himself:

I am fifteen years old. I have four siblings. All of them are at school. My father is a soldier, and my mother buys and sells coal in Thailand. Our house is 150 meters away from the school.

| On the new building:

The new school is encouraging for me. Before, classes were held under a tree. We would have problems with the rain and tree branches blowing in the wind.

| Favorite subject:

I like Khmer the most. In the near future I want to continue studying and get more education. I want to be a computer teacher.

| On his spare time:

In my spare time I go to get water for the house and chop wood. Otherwise, I help my mom make thatch for the roof and my mother sells them. My favorite sport is soccer.

| If he could travel anywhere:

I would travel to America. I want to know what it’s like.
