The Ro Bas Raing Nippon

Foundation School

Mr. Ou Bun is the school director of the Ro Bas Raing Nippon Foundation School and also teaches the third grade.
He is 44 years old.

On himself:

I am married and have seven children. Three of them are attending this school. My wife is a farmer, and we also rear pigs and chickens. We plant rice only once a year during the rainy season, because there’s not enough water during the dry season. I started teaching in 1984. I have been a director since 1996.

On the new building:

I am very happy with the new school. The building we used to have was made of wood and bricks, but it was very old. You could look through from one side to the other; and also there were so many holes on the wall. Everyone around here likes the new school. When it would rain or get really windy, we would cancel classes in fear that the building might collapse and injure the students. When we got this new school, we tore the old one down.
