The Hong Teuk Nippon

Foundation School

Mol Nub is a 15-year-old sixth grade student at the Hong Teuk Nippon Foundation School.
He was ranked twelfth out of the 22 students in his class

On himself:

I have two sisters and am the ‘middle-child’. Our parents are both farmers. This school is 2.5 km away from our house, and it takes me about 20 minutes by bike to get here.

On the new building:

I am very happy to study in the new school. At the old school, the teachers didn’t come regularly and they didn’t dress well. Now they always come on time, and they dress better.

Favorite subject:

I like Khmer the most because I’m Khmer, and for me Cambodia is better than other nations. It’s better because I like the traditions and customs of the Khmers the most.

On his spare time:

I always help my parents by fetching water from the stream to put into the water jars at our house. Sometimes I do homework or take care of my 8-year-old sister.

If he could do anything:

I would want to be a university student in the USA. I want to graduate there.

If he could travel anywhere:

I would travel to the beach, because the beach has fresh air.
