Mr. Meas Poeun is the deputy director of the Talo Nippon Foundation School.

On himself:

I am 53 years old and married. I had seven children, but five of them died during the Pol Pot regime. Today, three of my grandchildren are at school. I don’t teach anymore, but my wife still does. She teaches the third grade.

On the new building:

I am very happy with the new school. All the villagers and teachers here are very happy, too. I want to extend our gratitude to the donor for their support. The old school was made of wood, and only had seven classrooms. It was also leaning toward one side. The students were worried about having to study there because it was so old. They were afraid that it would collapse and injure the children.
