Thok Heov is a 58-year old farmer in the village. She has no children and lives alone. Her husband died when she was 24 years old, and she has lived here since the old regime. Two of her nieces are enrolled in the 3rd grade in the Tokyo Katsushika-Higashi Rotary Club School.
“I have no bad feelings whatsoever about the school and am extremely happy that the donors have decided to help us. The old building was prone to floods so it was hard for the children to study. I feel nothing but gratitude and always tell the kids to be thankful.”
