The Alexander Brest School
Mr. Nhem Kim Eng is a 49-year-old farmer who lives in the school village. He has eight children, four of them are studying at the new school.
“Last year, my children had to travel six kilometers to go to school. But this year when the new school had been built, they walk only 2 km to study. I am happy that the school is near to my house, and I no longer worry that my children might get be involved in a road accident.”
“When my children grow up, I want them to be teachers. I don’t want them to be farmers. Now I work hard to feed the whole family, including my eight children. I want to change my job, but I have no skill other than farming.”
