Mr. Chun Tha, a 31-year-old school director at the Hazel Abell Stone School
Mr. Chun Tha is a 31-year-old school director at the Hazel Abell Stone School. He has two daughters; both of them are too young to be enrolled in the school. His wife is a farmer in the school village. His house is about 1 kilometer from the school and he drives a motorbike to teach the children every day.
He was graduated from the pedagogical school in1996 and then was assigned to teach at a school in the area. In 2004 he was promoted to be school director of the Hazel Abell Stone School after the new building has been built.
“I am very happy with the donor who gives us a new school that enables the students to study in. The students like to study computers and take English lessons, run by the Rural School Program, in addition to the Public School’s curriculum. They never expected to have a good chance to learn these programs. The villagers who have been living around the school are happy to send their children to study in the new school. I noted that most of the kids have no longer worried about the rain. They focus only on studying.”
