Ngeuk Touch is a 16-year old boy currently studying in the 4th grade at the Kuniko Koyama School. He is ranked 10th out of a class of 43 students. He lives about 1 kilometer away from school and walks here everyday. He has four brothers and one sister, and is 4th-born in the family. His parents both farm for a living.

“My favorite subject is mathematics because I want to learn how to do calculations. I don’t really like social studies because it’s too hard and you need to memorize a lot of stuff. I used to study English and learned things such as the ABC’s, but I can’t remember anything else that the teacher taught me.”

“The old building is not as easy to study in, nor as pretty as the new building. It was a mess whenever it rained and dogs also used to come in and poop all over the place.”

“I like to help my parents out with the household chores whenever I have free time. I do things such as cook for my parents and get water for them. I would still like to be a farmer when I grow up because I want to reap the fruits of my labor.”

“If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would like to visit Kampot city because it seems like it would be a nice place to visit. I want to go have fun there.”

“I would like to thank the donors for building this school for all of us.”
