The QA School

Neou Samay is the 50-year-old Deputy Director of the QA School.

He is married with eight children; four sons and four daughters, and his wife is a farmer in the village where the school is. Two of his eight children come to learn at the new school. One is in the first grade while the other is in the fifth grade.

“I have been teaching children since 1980 after I underwent a three-month long course in Prey Veng’s pedagogy school. After the QA School was completed in 2004, I was switched to work at this new school as the deputy director,” he said.

“Among the subjects they learn every day they like to study math and literature the most because those lessons are easy to learn. But kids should know the Khmer language clearly as their foundation before they can study other subjects,” he said.
