The Hardy and McRae Families School
Mr. Chin Sophea is the 30-year-old director of the Hardy and McRae Families School. He has been a teacher for 8 years in another school and became a school principal in this school 3 years ago. He used to teach 1st grade to 6th grade. He teaches 4th grade now.
“I was trained at Kampong Speu provincial pedagogy school for 2 years before I became a teacher. I wanted to be a teacher because I had no possibility to continue studying, so I decided to be a teacher,” Chin Sophea said.
“I like teaching all subjects because in primary school you need to teach all subjects. As I know, the students like to learn Khmer and Math, because the teacher concentrates on teaching these two subjects more than other subjects. I know the students also want to learn computers because it is a new subject,” he added.
“I am married and I have two children, one son and one daughter. They are still young and I want them to study in this primary school when they grow up. I want them to receive as much knowledge as they can. I want my students to become leaders in the future. Some of them are very good and I hope they really become good students,” he said.
