The Hardy and McRae Families School
Sum Li Heng is a 13-year-old 6th grade student at the Hardy and McRae Families School. He has four siblings: one sister and three brothers, he is the second son. His parents are farmers. His house is about one kilometer from the school and he comes to school by bicycle.
“I like the new school building because it’s easy to sit in and learn. I started learning in this school in 2006. I am in the 5th grade now. I moved from Battambang province to live here with my parents,” he said.
“I like math because it’s easy to learn and it’s easy to understand and make calculation. I would like to have a motorcycle because then it would be easy to go to school,” he added.
“I want to become a motorcycle or computer repair man because with this job it’s easy to earn money,” he said when asked about his future ambitions.
