Meurn Leng
Meurn Leng is 15 years old and is in the eighth grade. She lives in Thmey village, Chuon Songke commune, Kompong Speu province.
She is the fourth child in her family and has six siblings: three sisters and three brothers.
Her father’s name is Hem Phal. He is 48 years old and he works at a mango factory.
Mother’s name is Rirh Yat. She is 41 years old and works at the mango factory with her husband..
They sometimes borrow money from the landowner to provide for their family’s needs. Because of this, they have to use some of the money they earn and give it back to the landowner.
Her family has their own farmland that is about a hectare and with it, they can produce about 800kg to 1000kg of rice per year.
Leng takes 30 minutes to commute to school on her bicycle. Every day, she helps her mom clean the house before school, and after school, she has to cook for her family.
In her free time, she likes to do homework and read books. Her favorite color is orange and her favorite animal is a duck.
In the future, she wants to become a teacher at primary school and share her knowledge with the next generation.
