Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Khan Lily

Lily is 11 years old and she is a student in grade 7 at The Green Family School in Takeo province, Kirivung district, Angbrasat commune, Angbrasat village.

There are four members of her family. She has got two parents and two sisters includable her. She is the first child in her family. Her family is so poor. They are having a half-hectare, which can produce 800-900 kg of rice a year. Her mother is a housewife and her father has worked as a day-to-day laborer in the village who he can earn income 40,000 Riel per day. Her parents have enough money to support school supplies. She always rides an old bike to school and comes back. However, Lily always helps her housework and takes care of the youngest sister every day after school and day off.

Lily wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She loves employment so much. Furthermore, she would like to teach all the students in rural villages to have a higher knowledge to become center-row of the nation and also progress the nation towards the perfect human resources. Moreover, She would love to have money to help to support her family in the future when she is going to succeed in her aspiration.
