Doeun Mary is a thirteen-year-old student in the sixth grade at Wat Thmey primary school which is located Ta Khong village, Trean commune, Kampong Siem District, Kampong Cham province.
Mary has three siblings, two brothers and a sister, and she is the second child in the family. Her mother is a housewife, and her father works as a seasonal worker, earning 30,000 Riels a day which is not enough to support the family. When Mary has free time, she always helps her mother with housework and likes to exercise and read.
In the future, she wants to be a teacher because she wants to teach young children in her village and believes that this job has honor in society, which can help support her family.
