Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

To Be Selected

Saoly is 16 years old, student in 9th grade at the Dahlia Sam School in Roung Mashin village, Tasal commune, O’ral district, Kampong Speu province.

Saoly has five sisters and two brothers. She is the eighth child in the family. She lives with her widow mother after her father died in 2016. Her mother own 0.90 hectare of farmland for transplanting rice. Her mother can gather 10 to 15 sacks of rice production which per sack about 60 to 70 kilogram. Saoly has a sister who work at the provincial town and send home some money every month. Her mother can earn about 5,000 to 10,000 riels per day for support her family.

In her free time, Saoly loves do homework, do housework, help her mother field work and feeding cow.

In the future, Saoly dreams to be a teacher because she loves works with children and wants sharing her knowledge to next generation.
