Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Chearneth is 14 years old the student in 8th grade at The Nozomi School # 348 donated by David Sneider and Naomi Pollock Family. Located: Khchass Village, Khchass Commune, Saut Nikum District and Siem Reap Province.

Chearneth is the last child in the family, with two older brothers. Her parents are framer but no farmland for transplanting rice. In her family has no farmland for transplanting rice. So her parents have to find the work as a builder at city (Siem Reap City). The work is someday only not every day that is 35 kilometers from home to get a little money 1$ – 3$ per day for support their children and some money for meal that is not enough for support family. Chearneth is a very hard and good student. After a long day of studying hard at school, she goes home to help her parents with house work. In her free time, she likes to read the books and review the lessons from school and help mother to cook meal for her family.

Chearneth wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She wants to help all the kids in her village and the most she wants to earn money to support her family to be better in the future.
