Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

To Be Selected

Nitha is 13 years old the student in 8th grade at The Nozomi School # 348 donated by David Sneider and Naomi Pollock Family. Located: Khchass Village, Khchass Commune, Saut Nikum District and Siem Reap Province.

Nitha is the second child in the family, with one younger brother and one older sister. Her family has no home and land so her family stays with grandparents and her village has no farmland so her father has to go to work at the city as the builder and he got $3 per day to support the family. Sometime her mother asked her to stop from study and go and stay with rich family at city to take care of their small kids to get a little salary to support her family but Nitha loves to study so doesn’t go and she come to school every day without money. Nitha is a good student. After school, she goes home to help her parents with house work. In her free time, she likes to read the books and review the lessons from school and help mother to cook meal for her family and look after her brother.

Nitha wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She wants to help all the poor kids like her and the most she wants to earn money to support her family to be better in the future.
