Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Sreas Kanha

Kanha is a 15 years old student in 8th grade at The Nozomi School # 348 donated by David Sneider and Naomi Pollock Family. Located: Khchass Village, Khchass Commune, Saut Nikum District, and Siem Reap Province.

Kanha is the first child in the family, with one younger sister. Her family has no farmland so her parents have to work as a builder and far from home at the city and got $3 per day but still not enough to support the kinds to school and food for every day. She is a good student. After school, she goes home to help her parents with house work. In her free time, she likes to read books and review the lessons from school and help her mother to cook meals for her family and look after her sister.

Kanha wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She wants to help all the poor kids in her village and the most she wants to earn money to support her family to be better in the future.
