Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Meay Korea

Korea is 15 years old the student in 8th grade at The Nozomi School # 348 donated by David Sneider and Naomi Pollock Family. Located: Khchass Village, Khchass Commune, Saut Nikum District, and Siem Reap Province.

Korea is the first child in the family, with three younger brothers and one younger sister. Her family has no farmland and her village has no farmland for rent so her family knows how to make Khmer noodles and sell at home every day that got a little money to support the family. Sometimes her parents asked her to help to earn money to support her family and her brothers and sister go to school but she doesn’t stop and she comes to school every day without money. Korea is a good student. After school, she goes home to help her parents with housework. In her free time, she likes to read books and review the lessons from school and help her mother and look after her brothers and sister.

Korea wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She wants to help all the poor kids and the most she wants to earn money to support her family to be better in the future.
