Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

To Be Selected

Chhean Chinyi is a 10 year- old student in Grade 3 at The Nicholas and Zachary Poor School in Trapaing Chress Village in Ratanakiri Province.

Chinyi is the second child in the family. She has two sisters. The family is poor and does not have any farmland. They don’t get any income from farming. They have to work for other villagers (sometimes they are hired to pull out the cassavas, chop the cassavas, clearing up grass, and harvest soybean or rice for the neighbors). While her parents go out to work Chinyi has to take care of her younger sister, and do chores around the house.
