Ton Pong is in the second grade at The Flavia Robinson School. The new school is 200 meters from his house, and he walks to school.
In Their Own Words. . .
On his family: | “I am 14 years old and the youngest of five children. My parents died three years ago, and so I have been living with my older brother. My oldest sister is 20 years old. She is married with two children. My second sister is 17 and is also married with one child. My third brother is 17 years old and stopped studying a long time ago due to ill health. My fourth brother is 15 and he stopped studying because of a lack of money.”

On his studies: | “I am ranked seventh out of the 30 kids in my class. I know a little about mathematics and am good at Khmer.”

On his future plans: | “When I grow up, I want to be a teacher.”

On the new building: | “I am so happy as I am learning in this new building and I will do my best to study hard.” |
