Mrs. So Soveung lives with her family in Boeung Khlaing Khang Keth village
where The Fumiko Oshima School is located.  She is 48 years old.

In Their Own Words. . . 

on her livelihood “I am a vegetable seller.  I have a small shop in front of my house.  I can earn US$5 or 6 in profit a day.  My husband is the Deputy District Chief of Education, for which he earns about US$25 per month.”

 

on her family “I have six children.  My four eldest sons are teachers and farmers.  My youngest son is 10 and is in fourth grade, and my youngest daughter is seven and is in first grade.”

 

on the new building “I am happy with the new building because it is a good place for my children to study.”

 

message to the donor “I would like to thank Fumiko Oshima very much for providing this new building because it means that my son and daughter can keep learning.”
