In Their Own Words. .
On the new building: | “The number of students was decreasing when we used the old building, but the student body is increasing every year because they like the new school building.”
|
On her family: | “I have two daughters studying in this new school building. My older daughter is in third grade and the other is in first grade. I want them to learn at this school because I am here and my house is near this school.”
|
On teaching: | “I became a teacher because I have liked this job since I was young. The best thing about my job is the respect that you receive, even when walking around the village. I like teaching Khmer and mathematics because these two subjects are very important for children to learn in primary school. I don’t like teaching applied science because we lack teaching instruments.”

Message for donor: | “Thanks to The Nippon Foundation, we have a nice new school building.” |
