Chea Saven, 15 years old, is a second grade student at the Phnom Koy Nippon Foundation School.  She was ranked first among the 30 students in her class.  She has two siblings at the school.  Her father passed away and her mother is a farmer.  Her house is 1 km away from the school.

In Their Own Words.

On the new building: “I like the new school building because I want to study.  It was hard to study in the old building because it had no walls.”

 

On school subjects: “My favorite subject is Khmer because I want to know my language clearly.”

 

On her hobbies:  “When I have free time, I like to read and meet my friends at school.  I like to play jokes with them.”

 

On her future:  “I want to make my own business out of my house.”
