Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Bran Setha

Setha is 14 years old the student in 8th grade at The Nozomi School # 348 donated by David Sneider and Naomi Pollock Family. Located: Khchass Village, Khchass Commune, Saut Nikum District and Siem Reap Province.

Setha is the second child in the family, with one younger brother and one older brother. .Her parents are farmer but have no farmland for transplanting rice so her parents owned one hectare of farmland for transplanting rice. Her parents can gather 10 sacks of rice per year. After harvesting rice her mother needs to sell some of rice with the cost of $100 to pay back for the fertilizers and the land owner and some of money to support. Setha is a good student. After school, she goes home to help her parents with house work. In her free time, she likes to read the books and review the lessons from school and help mother to cook meal for her family and look after her brother.

Setha wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She wants to help all the poor kids and the most she wants to earn money to support her family to be better in the future.
