Girls Be Ambitious

A program that enables girls who are unable to go to school due conditions of poverty to attend one of our rural schools and receive an education instead of having to work in the fields, do chores at home or take care of siblings.

Bul Sreynoeurn

Bul Sreynoeurn is 11 years old, grade 6 at Peam Khvav Primary School, located in Peam Khrav village, Dom Bokrong commune, Phom Srouch district and Kampong Speu province.

There are four members in her family. Bul Sreynoeurn has two sisters including her. She is the first child in her family. Her father’s name is Beun Vebo, 32 years old and her mother’s name is Sem pha, 31 years old. They are the farmers and they had own halt hectare of farmland for growing rice. They can produce for 1000kg of rice per year and sold 300kg, get 75$ for supporting their everyday food. After finish from the rice season, her father goes to work as a construction worker and he gets 5$ in per day and her mother goes to work as a mango gatherer, she can earn 15,000 riels a day in season. Even they get the income for support their whole family but they can cover their every expense such as school supplies of their children, foods, cloths and other things. Nowadays they live in a poor family but their children always go to school and after school Sreynoeurn always help her mother doing housework and take care her sibling.

In future, Sreynoeurn wants to be a doctor. She wants to help the villagers that the hospital is far from village and also she wants to earn money to support her family.
