To Be Selected

Bun Lida is 12 years old; studies in grade 7th at The Svay Chek Secondary School, located in Anlong Spean village, Svay Chek Commune, Romdoul District, Svay Rieng province.

Lida has three siblings and she is the third child in the family. Her father‘s name: Mr. Kang Sapha and her mother’s name: Kang Mao, both of them are farmers. The family owns one hectare of farmland in which they can earn up to $300 a year from rice product. As this is not enough money to support the family’s needs, Lida’s father has to work extra such as dig the land to fill the track and he can earn $4 to $5 a day. Even with this additional income, they still have not enough money to support the family and their children’s needs. Therefore, Lida usually has to miss school to help taking care her siblings or help in the rice field and other housework.

She wants to be a teacher in her community. She wants to teach all kids in her location. Also, she wants to build girl up and explain them to be strong as a man.
