Kes Lina is 15-years-old, grade 8 at The Kimino Yume Mezaseba Kanau School in Romduol village,Varin commune, Varin District, Siem Reap province, Cambodia.
Lina has five siblings, three sisters and two brothers, and she is the third child in family. Lina and her five siblings live with their mother, as their father passed away a few years ago. Lina’s mother works as a farmer trying to support her family, but it is not enough to adequately support the children. As a result, Lina’s family is very poor. On some days, Lina has to stay home from school to help taking care her siblings, house chores, and sometimes in the rice field.
Lina hopes that one day she can be a teacher and makes a strong influence on her students.
