Khet Sengdy is 13 years old, she lives in Vealthouch village, Chrolorng Commune, Baray District, Kampong Thom Province. She is in the 6th grade at Tuol Andet Primary School location in Tropenang Chroneang Village, Chrolorng Commune, Baray District, Kampong Thom Province.
Sengdy has 3 siblings, 1 brother and 2 sisters. She is the third child in the family. Her father’s name is Khoem Sokha and her mother’s name is Phen Rann, both of them are farmers. The family owns one hectare of farmland where they can earn $300 a year from rice products. Beside the work in farm field, Sengdy’s father has to go on trip to carry the sack of cements for the construction shop and he can earn $6 in working day. Not all the income are enough to support the family’s needs and their children school supplies. Therefore, Sengdy commonly has to miss school to stay home and help taking care her siblings, help in the rice field and other housework.
Sengdy wanted to be a doctor. Because she wants to cure all the people in her location.
